Port Equipment Electrification

A steel manufacturing company operates a private port with three berths for 1,000-ton cargo ships, requiring material transport over a 3 km round trip. Previously, diesel dump trucks handled the transport, resulting in high fuel costs and emissions. In 2023, the company introduced electric mining trucks and loaders to transition to greener operations.
- Operational Needs: Short-haul transport with frequent turns and reversing; each truck makes 40+ trips per day.

A granite aggregate company, with an annual mining and stripping capacity of over 6 million cubic meters, introduced 10 battery-electric mining trucks in late 2023 as part of its cost reduction and efficiency enhancement strategy.
- Terrain: 4% average slope; trucks climb empty and descend fully loaded (~100+ tons).
- Energy Recovery: Over one month, total energy consumption reached 293,765 kWh, with 210,430 kWh recovered through regenerative braking – 2.5x the charging energy.
- Efficiency & Cost: Trucks covered 40,714 km, with a net energy consumption of 83,335 kWh, translating to an actual energy consumption of 2.047 kWh/km. The cost per km is ~2 RMB, significantly lower than diesel trucks.
Power Plant Equipment Electrification

A biomass power plant, as a renewable energy producer, actively explores green production methods and continuously upgrades its equipment and processes. Since 2023, the plant has introduced six battery-electric loaders in two phases.
- Performance: Operational data recorded by plant personnel indicate that the most-used loader operated 4,169 hours, consuming less than 95,000 kWh in total, with an average energy consumption of approximately 22.04 kWh per hour.
- Cost Savings: On-site electricity is nearly cost-free. Monthly savings cover operators’ wages.
- Environmental Impact: Noise reduction benefits workers and nearby residents, reducing complaints and improving operational stability. For the client, the environmental benefits gained from using electrified equipment are just as valuable as the financial savings.
